Oklahoma City Ballet TO Present ROBERT MILLS’ “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST,” THE BALLET
Oklahoma City Ballet presents Robert Mills’ Beauty and The Beast, The Ballet, presented by The Melting Pot, Oklahoma City, on April 18-19, closing the OKC Ballet's 2013-2014 season at the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City.  Tickets start at $25.
Inspired by the original 1740 Barbot de Villeneuve story, Beauty and the Beast is a tale that has truly stood the test of time.  Beauty and the Beast, the Ballet, will amaze with a sumptuous new score from frequent Oklahoma City Ballet collaborator Kermit Poling.  The Oklahoma City Philharmonic provides a live orchestra while dazzling sets and elaborate, colorful costumes complete the scenery.  Choreographed by Artistic Director Robert Mills, prepare to be emotionally swept away by a magical production.
Beginning one hour prior to every performance there will be a special activity for children in the South Lobby, “Make Your Own Magical Rose,” sponsored by Oklahoma Contemporary.  After the Saturday, April 19 performance at 2:00 pm, Oklahoma City Ballet company dancers will meet and greet the audience in the lobby with refreshments provided by Braum’s.
Oklahoma City Ballet’s performances of Beauty and the Beast, the Ballet, will be staged on Friday, April 18 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.  The previously announced performance scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at 2:00 pm has been moved to Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 pm.  All seating remains the same and tickets for the Sunday production will be accepted for the new date.  To exchange tickets for another performance, please contact the OKC Ballet office at 405-848-8637.
Single tickets start at $25.  Tickets can be purchased in person at OKC Ballet offices, 7421 N. Classen Blvd., OKC, by phone at (405) 848-8637 or online at okcballet.com/tickets. Office hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
