For the Prequalified Artist Pool, categories of art include: 3D Sculpture, Wall Relief, Photography, Functional Art (benches, railings, bike racks, lighting, etc.), Mosaics, Murals Graphic Design, Curatorial Services, New Media (lighting, music, sound, and/or animation), 2D Paintings (non-mural), POETRY, and; Other work not described in the above categories.
The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs is hosting a meeting at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, 300 Park Ave (Rooms E-F 4124-5), Saturday October 17th from 9:00AM-10:00AM for those interested in learning more about qualifying for the 2016 Prequalified Artist Pool (for projects under $25,000).
There are many advantages of being in the Prequalified Artist Pool:
• You’ll know about ALL 1% for Art opportunities and better understand the selection process.
• You’ll be part of an online public artist registry for private sector clients
• The City of Oklahoma City, and its Trust and Authorities can streamlines application and selection process by accessing the prequalified pool for projects under $25,000.
There will be time for a portfolio review at the end; if you are interested please call (405)297-1746 to sign up due to limited space and to get instructions on what to bring. If you would like a portfolio review but are not able to be at the meeting, you can call or email and make an appointment to meet at our office. The deadline for artists to submit their qualifications for the Prequalified Artist Pool is on Tuesday, November 10th at 4:00PM.
