Brightmusic Concert No. 3, the Jeanette Sias Memorial Concert“Piano & Friends” featuring guest pianist Tanya Bannister.

The Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble will present its third concert of the 2015-2016 Season, a sizzling evening of piano, strings and clarinet that will be the perfect antidote to Old Man Winter.

Join us for a special Pre-Concert Reception at 6:30 pm, hosted by Dean Justin Lindstrom and the congregation of St. Paul’s Cathedral in honor of our guest artist, our musicians, and St. Paul’s 125th anniversary!  Come meet the musicians and join the celebration in the education building next door to the Cathedral.  Then stick around for a dazzling evening of world-class chamber music.

  1. Muczynski, Fantasy Trio, op. 26, for Piano, Clarinet and Cello
  2. Brahms, Trio in A minor, op. 114, for Piano, Clarinet and Cello
  3. Chopin, Ballade No. 4 in F minor, op. 52, for Solo Piano
  4. Fauré, Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, op. 15, for Piano, Violin, Viola and Cello

Joining pianist Tanya Bannister are Brightmusic musicians Gregory Lee (violin), Mark Neumann (viola), Jonathan Ruck (cello) and Chad Burrow (clarinet).

Admission is $20 for adults; free for students and active-duty military with ID.  Season Members, please show your Season Pass at the door for admission.

The Music of Vienna
The dates and programs for Brightmusic’s exciting four-concert Spring Music Festival have been announced!  “The Music of Vienna” will feature compositions by some of the world’s greatest composers, spanning over 200 years from the Classical period of Haydn and Mozart through the Romantic period and into the 20th century.  The widely diverse lineup promises to delight and enchant everyone.  Mark your calendars now!  The festival dates are June 9, 11, 12 and 14, and include a Sunday matinee.  Check our website, www.brightmusic.org, for the programs and concert times.  All concerts will be at the acoustically-rich St. Paul’s Cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City.
