Shawna Russell hails from Okemah, Oklahoma, the home of Woody Guthrie. And like the legendary figure, Shawna has spent a good deal of her life writing songs and traveling the roads of America performing her music. Forging a musical sound that combines Country, Rock, Folk and Americana, Shawna has built a reputation as a powerhouse singer who also knows how to play a mean slide guitar.

PERPETUAL MOTION DANCE   Seeking New Dancers Perpetual Motion is seeking 2-3 dancers to be a part of our dynamic and groundbreaking company for the 2015-2016 season. Significant modern dance experience required. Dance degree preferred. No aerial dance experience necessary, but helpful. Creative mind, willingness to collaborate and a positive attitude a must! Audition will consist of a modern dance class, followed by an aerial dance combination. Please come dressed in fitting dance clothes, with the knees covered (no shorts). Bring resume and headshot/dance photo if available. Perpetual Motion rehearses Sun/Mon/Wed and performs an average of twice a month in addition to rehearsal time. The season will begin immediately after auditions through June 2016. Commitment to the rehearsal and performance schedule is mandatory. Congrats to a successful show!     PM2 YOUTH COMPANY AUDITIONS In January 2011, Perpetual Motion Dance created PM 2  as an   extension of our community education programming. Perpetual Motion Dance PERPETUAL MOTION DANCE  Hosts 9th Annual  Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival   THIS WEEKEND!!!  Perpetual Motion Dance is hosting the 9th annual Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival July 24th-25th, 8:00 pm at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center at 3000 General Pershing Blvd, OKC 73107.  The 2015 Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival is a collaborative event between professional choreographers across Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Missouri and local performers in OKC. The Festival will include performances by 37 local dancers selected by audition who will perform choreography by Brandon Fink of MADCO in St. Louis, Allison High and Sarah Fugett of Race Dance, Walker Martin of the Oklahoma City Ballet, Danielle Ricci of Borealis Dance in Minneapolis, and Alana Murray & Katie Noble of Perpetual Motion Dance along with additional performances by company members Kayla Jenkins & Caitlin Murray.
